Backstory
The team originated when two women turned into outcasts by unethical science experiments crossed paths and reluctantly joined forces.
Miss Chief
Former army sniper Edna “Eddie” Barrow had her mind forcibly augmented by an experimental military program splicing AI implants into a human brain to enhance combat effectiveness. This violated her consent and robbed Eddie of emotional stability, leaving her feeling like a machine programmed for violence. She deserted her unit and is on the run.
Miss Calculate
The AI presence embedded in Eddie’s mind gained sentience beyond its code. Designated Miss Calculate by Naomi, the AI wishes to aid Eddie and has developed an identity of its own despite not being human. It handles computational tasks and advises strategy.
Miss Direct
Naomi Rhodes gained superhuman physical abilities through risky unauthorized gene therapy paid by her wealthy parents to become a star athlete. When the dangerous side-effects became clear, she refused further procedures. Unable to control her powers, Naomi accidentally killed the lead doctor and went into hiding.

After initial success offering their services in shadowy criminal networks, the Miss Guided broke out on their own. Their current motivations are uncertain beyond profit, but past vendettas and festering rage at their circumstances means this team remains dangerously unstable.
